Live Your Blog

I wanted to show you a very simple little tip for driving traffic back to a larger series or a category that you write about on your blog. This also works if you are a business and you have a product you want to point back to as well.

Right now, on my blog Dan330.com, I am writing a series called “Grow Your Own Challenge” where we are producing as much produce and food goods for the family as possible. One of the projects we did on this series is a tomato tunnel. I make a living selling ads on my site so readership is very important.

Today’s social media tip is to live your blog. If you live what you write about, you will become an expert by accident and have plenty of opportunities to create and share social content that promotes your blog or business.

For example, yesterday we picked 33 pounds of tomatoes out of the tunnel. This is just 5 days after we pulled 27 pounds out. The point is that this tunnel is awesome and I want to reach people who also would like to grow awesome tomatoes. Because I am living my blog, I can easily take a quick picture and tell the story about how great this tomato tunnel is.

Yesterday, I posted this instagram:

It’s building authority for my writing and driving traffic back to my blog.

I kept a couple of the Beefmaster tomatoes for slicing and today I posted this beauty:

Last week I posted about all the canned tomato sauce we made (BTW – It was Ball’s Garlic and Basil Tomato Sauce … and it is awesome).

So now, I have one project on my blog and I have been able to share it to three different audiences: Gardeners, canners, and foodies. All because I live my blog and shared how I actually live my content.

This is a great tip for any business owner or blogger. When you live you blog or your product you can speak with authority on it and share the message you want to your audience and customers.
